Audi 100 (3D: 08/89-12/90, AAS: 05/91-07/94), Volkswagen Transporter (T4) 2.5 R5 TDI 65-121kW This 2.5 litre 'row' five engine (R5), wholly designed and developed by Audi, was the first Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine in 1989, initially used in the Audi 100. This engine was also used in some Volvo Cars models in the 1990s.

This is the only way to set the 2.5tdi timing to its optimum. The top pulley is on a taper and can be used to set the timing. The back of the pump pulley has a timing mark on it so it may be worth setting the engine to tdc and setting the pump in the correct position. Cheers. Hi again dangerous a bit of advise, although you never asked for it, however, the job you are about to undertake,renewing the clutch on the T4 is one hell of a job, if you have not got the proper eqipement,and taking into consideration you are going to remove the sump and the oil pump,i would stronly advise you to lower the complete unit,engine and gearboxs together and do whatever work thats AHk300A.
